about

"Fret Rattles are classic garage-punk lifers, taking years of punk/metal/garage experience and wielding it like a weapon." - Ali Jaafar

Minneapolis-based Fret Rattles will be releasing their overdue second album Pedal to the Metal and Damn the Consequences in early Summer 2016. The nine tracks were recorded at Ecstattic Studio in Minneapolis by Ali Jaafar. The record finds a more raw, stripped down approach than their first record, The First One. Wearing their influences on their sleeves, the Fret Rattles bring their own approach to the sounds of late 60's Detroit (MC5, Stooges), 70's punk rock (Radio Birdman, Sonics Rendezvous Band) and the 90's rock scene (Hellacopters, Turbonegro). The final result is a straight-forward rock-n-roll record that is not retro but instead alive, fresh and sounding more relevant than ever!

“Can't Find It” and “Lonely For You Baby” are the first advance tracks from the Fret Rattles upcoming vinyl release Pedal to the Metal and Damn The Consequences due out in early Summer 2016.
